• As prenatal tests proliferate, the medical and broader communities perceive that such testing is a logical extension of good prenatal care. But prenatal tests are also criticized by the disability rights community, which contends that advances in science should be directed at improving their lives, not preventing or annihilating them.

The aim of this conference is to increase awareness on this issue and to engage in an honest and occasionally painful debate on the true meaning of equality. The intrinsic value of every human being does not depend on health, disability or mental capacity of the individual.

On Thursday, 26th April 2018, the Every Life Matters Conference will bring together a panel of expert speakers in the field as well as personal testimonies by family members and individuals with disabilities.
