Programming And its Mission
Radio Maria is an ever-revolving radio. Every day at 5:30 PM a news bulletin broadcast religious news.
Ample space is given to the Church in Malta, news from the Vatican including the Angelus and general audiences, press releases from the Holy See and other relevant christian news from around the world. The news bulletin has been warmly welcomed especially by those who enjoy keeping updated mostly priests and religious, but also lay people who feel it a duty bound to learning about the situation of the church in the world.
Some broadcasts include the evening Holy Mass that has been broadcast daily from the Shrine of the Assumption (Ta’ Pinu) in Gozo, from the Qala Parish in Gozo, and monthly from different parish. Gozo has brought a major participation from the Gozitans.
Radio Maria Malta transmits Pontificial Masses from St. John’s Cathedral, various religious conferences, presbyteral and diaconate ordinations. In the most important liturgical feasts, Radju Marija is always present, with a group of volunteers that work in the technical field, but also with people who research liturgical and historical information. But external radio broadcats are not only limited to Malta and Gozo, we also link by telephone with Medjugorje, Ars in France, Spain for the World Youth Day, Life Cycle venues, Maltese missionaries abroad, Rome during the Conclave and much more.
