Fr Saviour Grima OSA whose latest responsibility has been that of parish priest at St Augustine Church in Valletta has been appointed as new Director of the Millennium Chapel and WOW. Fr Hilary Tagliaferro who founded the Millennium Chapel ten years ago will remain active at Millennium Chapel and will assist Fr Saviour Grima to take on his role and to provide his constant support and experience.
The Millennium Chapel and WOW – Wishing Others Well is now well known and has been providing spiritual and social services to the community at large.
Its counseling services and assistance to people with relationship problems as well as the programmes for teenagers in schools have involved thousands of individuals. The Millennium Chapel and WOW continuously link the spiritual and the material in providing the necessary support to those who need it. The WOW is serving as a meeting place for a number of organizations including AA and NA.
The Millennium Chapel greatly depends on the involvement of volunteers who act as counselors, welcomers, man the bookshop and provide all sorts of other related services. The Millennium Chapel would like to make an open and public appeal to anyone who feels rightly motivated, particularly the young to come forward and offer their time and involvement in the mission of the Millennium Chapel.
