Il-Knisja f’Malta għal darb’oħra tistqarr is-sogħba profonda tagħha li minuri li kienu taħt il-ħarsien tagħha kienu abbużati. Titlob maħfra għal dan l-abbuż l-ewwelnett lil dawk li sofrew l-abbuż kif ukoll lis-socjetà Maltija kollha. Il-Knisja turi s-sogħba tagħha wkoll ghal fatt li l-investigazzjonijiet dwar r-rapporti damu daqshekk biex ġew konklużi.

L-Arċisqof Pawlu Cremona bi ħsiebu fi żmien qasir jerġa’ jiltaqa’ mal-vittmi biex jitlobhom din il-maħfra personalment.

Il-Knisja tħeġġeġ lil kull min ikollu xi taghrif dwar abbuż fuq minuri biex jirraporta mill-ewwel. Il-Knisja saħħet l-istrutturi tagħha biex kemm hu possibbli jkunu evitati abbużi u jekk isiru, jittieħdu passi fl-iqsar żmien possibbli.

The Missionary Society of St. Paul (M.S.S.P.), would like to communicate the following with
reference to Fr. Charles Pulis:
1. Pope Benedict XVI has decreed the dismissal from the clerical state of the said presbyter,
as a penalty, who however will remain incorporated in the above mentioned Missionary Society.
This decision cannot be appealed.
2. Furthermore the Missionary Society would like to remind that from the moment the first
allegations surfaced in 2003, Fr. Charles Pulis was barred from public priestly ministry as a
precautionary measure.
