The Secretariat for Catholic Education, St Aloysius College and De La Salle College Sixth Forms wish to thank all those concerned for the efforts made for SEC examinations held during the pandemic. The Church authorities also express their gratitude towards all those who contributed by working diligently and silently to provide alternative strategies, most of which will thankfully not be required, which were devised and in place to meet most eventualities.

Nevertheless, a few students studying both Accounting and Business Studies as an option choice within their school could not sit for the Accounting exam as the MATSEC SEC clashes with Business Studies and the foreign board’s examinations were cancelled due to COVID-19. In these exceptional circumstances, and only for students who meet the specific criteria outlined in the application form, the Secretariat for Catholic Education will be organising an Accounting exam that replicates the respective SEC exam by MATSEC. The result of this examination will allow any such students to present a result for Accounting if they decide to apply to enter a Church Sixth Form.

Applications accessible from knisja.mt/forms/accounting-exam-2021 are open from today 2nd July 2021 until Wednesday 7th July 2021. The rules and regulations for this examination are accessible from the link to application form. Further details on the admission process into the two Church Sixth Forms, including their respective prospectus, may be accessed from delasallemalta.org/sixthform/downloads and staloysius.edu.mt/sixth-form.

The Secretariat for Catholic Education, St Aloysius College and De La Salle College Sixth Forms wish all students the very best for their future. Individuals who may have specific concerns related to their admission into the two Church Sixth Forms may send an email on [email protected] by not later than Tuesday 6th July 2021.
