Is-Segretarjat għall-Edukazzjoni tal-Knisja f’Malta organiżża seminar ta’ jumejn għall-għalliema u l-learning support assistants(LSAs) li ser jibdew l-impjieg tagħhom fl-iskejjel tal-Knisja matul is-sena skolastika li tibda fil-jiem li ġejjin.
Aktar minn 120 parteċipant minn 30 skola differenti attendew għal dan is-seminar li ntemm llum, it-Tlieta 20 ta’ Settembru 2011, u li sar fil-Kurja tal-Arċisqof, l-Furjana. Il-parteċipanti ngħataw informazzjoni fuq is-servizzi li jingħataw fl-iskejjel u ġie spjegat lilhom l-ethos u l-kariżma tal-iskejjel tal-Knisja.
Il-kelliem prinċipali llum kien l-Arċisqof Pawlu Cremona O.P. Fil-messaġġ tiegħu l-Arċisqof tkellem dwar ir-rwol tal-għalliema bħala medjaturi bejn il-ġenituri u uliedhom. Semma l-importanza li l-għalliema ma jkollhomx preġudizzji lejn l-istudenti u appella biex fil-ħidma tagħhom huma jgħaddu l-valuri lill-istudenti.
Dr Rose Anne Cuschieri, Direttur tal-iskejjel tal-Knisja tkellmet dwar l-importanza li qabel jibdew il-karriera tagħhom, l-għalliema ġodda u l-LSA’s jiltaqgħu flimkien biex filwaqt li jingħataw informazzjoni siewja, jifhmu aktar xi tfisser li tkun edukatur fi skola tal-Knisja.
The Secretariat for Education within the Archdiocese of Malta organized a two-day seminar for teachers and LSA’s who shall take up their employment in Church Schools during the forth coming scholastic year.
More than 120 participants from 30 different schools attended this seminar which was held at the Archbishop’s Curia in Floriana and was concluded on the 20th September, 2011. The participants were given information regarding services which are offered in schools. They were also instructed with regards to the ethos and charisms of Church Schools.
The main speaker was Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. In his message he spoke of the role of the teacher as a mediator between the parents and their children. He insisted that it was important for teachers not to bear any prejudices towards students and appealed to them to pass the correct values on to their students.
Dr.Rosanne Cuschieri, Director of Church Schools said that this seminar was important for the teachers and the LSA’; not only were they provided with useful information, but they could also come to understand better the meaning of being an educator in a church school.
